Black Goblin Images – Professional wedding photographers Bristol – We are a family run wedding photographic company based in Bristol who have together had the pleasure of photographing many weddings over the past 8 years in Bristol, around the UK, Kenya and Cyprus.
Christopher (Digihorn) has been taking pictures with his ever evolving Nikon equipment for around 15 years, 10 of which he has been putting his passion and skills into wedding photography. He has a wife Claire, a son Tom and 2 Granddaughters, Lacey & Eliza.
Tom (Black Goblin) has been taking pictures ever since he received his first hand me down Nikon from Christopher around 10 years ago and has been beside Christopher shooting weddings for around 8 years.
What kit do we use?
As it stands to date ( October 2017) Tom has a Nikon D800 and a Nikon D700 camera, a Nikon 24-70 2.8G and a Nikon 50mm 1.8G lens, 3 x wireless remote speed lights, 2 x Lastolite Ezybox soft boxes and a bucket full of extras included enough memory cards to capture several weddings without wiping the cards clean.
Christoper has several Nikon cameras including Nikon D800, D700, D300 and D200. Notable lenses? A Nikon 24-70 2.8G, Nikon 70-200 2.8 ED VR II, a Nikon 85mm 1.4G plus much much more. The elder of the two also has several Nikon speed lights and portable flash lights (for indoor use).
Its safe to say that between the two of us we have the right tools for the job.
A day in the life of your photographers when capturing your special day:
Mid-Morning: One of us will meet the Bride on your wedding day morning for bridal preparation photos with bridesmaids and/or family at her location of choice while the other photographer meets the groom and his groomsmen for pre-wedding shots and some blokey prep shots at his location of choice
Midday: We’ll meet at the ceremony location for guest arrival photos and set up for shots of Brides entrance and ceremony proceedings – two photographers here means photos from several angles including from the front and back of the ceremony venue and shots of the Bride entering as well as shots of the Groom during the grand entrance!
Mid-Afternoon: We’ll take all your wedding guests for a HUGE group shot at your ceremony or reception venue. Again, here you’ll get shots from every angle and the advantage of one photographer getting the perfect snaps and another keeping your guests entertained and away from the bar during these sometimes painful photos!
After your group shots, We will whisk you, your bridesmaids and groomsmen off for some wedding party shots in and around your venue – here is where you can all let your hair down, relax and prepare for the night of celebrations ahead!
You will have a chance prior to your day to speak about what kind of shots you want and who you want in them too!
Evening: We will continue to take shots during the evening which will include shots of your wedding breakfast, speeches, cutting of the cake, bouquet throw, garter toss and any other points of interest you’d like photos of.
First Dance: Your first dance will usually be the last lot of photos that we will take before they pack up and leave you to carry on partying into the night. You will have the opportunity to go through a rough timeline of your day with us prior to your special day!
